In 2007, Danish designer Jakob Talbo followed his dream and founded Entourage of 7 in Venice Beach, Los Angeles. Inspired by the city's creative, multicultural, and ever-changing atmosphere, he wanted to design luxury eyewear that combined classic vintage styles with a modern twist. Entourage of 7 refers to the seven optician friends behind the brand, with the idea conceived in Vegas, with dice as its logo.
Entourage of 7 was founded in Los Angeles in 2007 by Jakob Talbo. The design of this eyewear brand's luxury frames is influenced by the "City of Angels," an ever-changing, multicultural melting pot where joy is found in moving forward and people are reminded to always be boldly creative. Entourage of 7 strives to create beautiful frames for rockers and rollers, lovers and sinners on Venice Beach—the birthplace of Entourage of 7.
While its design philosophy remains Los Angeles-focused, the brand is also open to innovations from elsewhere in the world. Entourage of 7 frames are manufactured in Japan and Denmark, utilizing a unique blend of tradition and cutting-edge technology. From classic double-riveted hinges hammered into zylace acetate frames to laser-cut aluminum alloys and titanium, the brand respects both vintage traditions and progress.
Entourage of 7 bases its design philosophy on the heritage of Los Angeles eyewear. But that doesn't mean it stops there, because the designers are always open to new ideas. Just like the city of Los Angeles, the brand is constantly evolving.
Entourage of 7 founder Jakob Talbo, a Dane, remains the head of design. The brand has been part of Bellinger House since 2013.
