Prevention of Hearing Damage

Long-term exposure to loud noises can lead to permanent hearing damage. Hearing protection is your first line of defense against this damage, which can lead to hearing loss and other auditory problems.

Improved Concentration and Productivity

Ambient noise can be distracting and disrupt concentration, especially in the workplace. Wearing hearing protection can help employees focus better, leading to improved productivity and performance.

Protection Against Tinnitus

Tinnitus, or ringing in the ears, is a common condition characterized by sounds such as buzzing, whistling, or ringing in the ears, which have no external source. Wearing hearing protection can help prevent tinnitus, which is often caused by exposure to loud noises.

Maintaining Quality of Life

Hearing loss can significantly impact your quality of life, making communication difficult and limiting social interactions. Wearing hearing protection can help you preserve your hearing and continue to enjoy the sounds around you.

Hearing protection for every situation

At Oogwereld Hearing Care, we offer a wide range of high-quality hearing protection products designed to meet the needs of different situations and environments. From universal earplugs to custom-fit earplugs for concerts, hobbies, motorcycles, and sleeping, to solutions for hunting, we have everything you need to protect your hearing, comfortably and effectively.

The Working Conditions Act

The Working Conditions Act stipulates that at a noise level of:

• 80 dB: an employer is obliged to provide hearing protection to an employee when working in a noise level of 80 dB.

• 83 dB: An employee may work for a maximum of four hours without hearing protection. Otherwise, the risk of hearing damage is very high.

• 85 dB or higher: an employee is required to wear hearing protection. These can be earmuffs, earplugs, or custom-made earplugs. In this case, the employer is also required to provide this protection.
