French Chic

Just over a century later, Chanel has become one of the most important and leading European fashion houses, with Karl Lagerfeld as head designer. He combines the class and simplicity of Coco Chanel with the current trends in the fashion world. Chanel's collections are not only purchased by high society in Paris, but also in world cities such as London, Rome and New York. In 1999, Chanel, together with Luxottica, introduced a line of sunglasses and correction sunglasses, also characterized by a luxurious and high-quality finish.

Chanel's exclusive sunglasses combine high fashion with ultimate luxury, always featuring authentic, recognizable Chanel details. They are particularly elegant and feminine in shape, with a perfect finish that exudes top quality.

Chanel's most famous designs, such as the tweed suit, the matelassé handbag, and 'the little black dress', can also be found in the sunglasses collection. Chanel sunglasses represent class, elegance, and femininity, and are crafted from high-quality materials. They are playfully finished with bows, pearls, links, tweed, leather, or other embellishments, and, of course, always feature the famous double C logo. A feast for the eyes, literally and figuratively.

Gabrielle 'Coco' Chanel was born on August 19, 1883, in Saumur, France. In 1910, she opened her first clothing store, followed by a hat and accessories shop in 1913. Two years later, she founded her first couture house in Biarritz. In the 1920s, Coco Chanel was known as the 'Queen of Fashion'. She was the creator of the Garçonne look: a comfortable style for ladies at a time when many women still wore uncomfortable corsets. But it was primarily her design of 'la petite robe noire', a simple black dress, that made her world-famous. From then on, the fashion house became known worldwide as a producer of haute couture. Furthermore, in May 1921, she released her legendary perfume Chanel N° 5, which remains one of the best-selling perfumes to this day.
