Morel

4 generations of French 'savoir-faire'

Craftsmanship & Imagination

Morel's story stems from a family that has been making glasses for four generations. Each generation learned from the previous one and added its own entrepreneurial vision. In 1880, the Morel brand was founded by Jules Morel. Morel is located where it all began: in the heart of the Haut-Jura, the cradle of French eyewear. Without limitations or barriers, Morel develops its own collections. This is a freedom Morel cherishes, one that equals creativity and ingenuity when it comes to creating new, exclusive designs.

The Morel Design Center: Where Creativity Comes to Life

Morel cultivates its creativity down to the smallest detail. The artistic director, (graphic) designers, colorists, and prototypers work closely together at the heart of the design center. This team of experts doesn't shy away from any challenge.

Morel Frames: Innovation and Craftsmanship

True to its values, Morel controls all aspects of its strategy without yielding to market pressure. In this way, Morel, always avant-garde, surprises the eyewear market. It works with atypical and innovative materials and expertise: carbon, wood, and, more recently, leather and 3D printing.

Modern twist

Morel has recently simplified its offering into three main categories: the MOREL collection (core premium), the “M” collection (accessible creative designs), and “M Classic”. This restructuring helps create clarity in style, price segment and design philosophy.
