Who is laser eye surgery suitable for?
If your eyes are healthy, you can have them lasered. There's one condition: your eyesight must not have changed significantly in recent years. Laser surgery can excellently correct diopters from -10.00 to +4.00 and astigmatism up to 6.00 diopters.
Alternatives to laser eye surgery
Besides the well-known laser eye surgery, there are several other refractive surgery treatments. If laser eye surgery isn't suitable, a lens implant, for example, can be a good solution. This can also correct larger deviations from -23.00 to +15.00 and cylinder powers up to 7.50. A multifocal lens implant can also correct near vision (reading, computer). As you age, the lens of your eye becomes increasingly hard. This causes many people to experience reading difficulties around the age of 45. With multifocal lens implants, 90% of patients can see clearly again without glasses.
