Make an appointment
Call us to schedule a CBR inspection. Your eyes will be examined by our optometrist; please note that eye drops will be administered during this examination.
What should you bring?
On the day of your appointment, please bring all CBR (Central Office for Motor Vehicle Driver Testing) paperwork with you. The optometrist will examine your eyes and then securely send all information to our ophthalmologist.
What next?
Within two business days of your visit to the optometrist, the ophthalmologist will perform the examination and provide a recommendation to the CBR (Central Office for Motor Vehicle Driver Testing). They will also decide whether you are eligible for an extension. The CBR will also inform you of the results.
Drops during the examination
During this examination, eye drops will be used to dilate your pupils, making the exam easier. After the drops are administered, you should not rub your eyes for half an hour and should not wear contact lenses. Because of the drops, you are more sensitive to light, and we recommend bringing sunglasses. If you are traveling by car, it is advisable to have someone drive you, due to reduced vision. If the examination indicates that further examination or consultation with your general practitioner and/or ophthalmologist is necessary, we will arrange for this.
