Met een OCT (Optical Coherence Tomograph) scan worden beelden gemaakt van de structuur van het oog. Het is een geavanceerde techniek om kleine details van het netvlies zichtbaar te maken. Op deze manier kunnen veranderingen of afwijkingen in het oog in een vroeg stadium worden opgemerkt. De OCT scan wordt ingezet voor onderzoek van bijvoorbeeld macula degeneratie en glaucoom.
