Myopia is a major problem among children and young adults.
More and more children are developing myopia (nearsightedness). This means their distance vision is gradually deteriorating. This increase is mainly due to increased close-up vision, such as reading, tablet and phone use, and because children spend less time outdoors. Myopia can not only be a nuisance but also increase the risk of eye problems later in life. Special glasses or contact lenses can slow the growth of the eye. These lenses refocus the image on the retina, slowing down the rate of eye elongation. This can slow the progression of myopia, helping to better protect children's vision in the long term. A well-fitting frame is essential for these lenses; that's why you'll find a carefully selected collection at Oogwereld. glasses frames for children that combine comfort, strength and wearing pleasure.
